
Timeline
The Diplomacy Week MUN will be held over the course of a full weekend, starting on Friday evening, to recreate the experience of a real international meeting. To catch a glimpse of the weekend that is awaiting you, here is a preliminary timeline. Keep in mind that some changes may occur and that we have some surprises in store !
Friday, March 9th
7.30pm - Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will be held in the evening: the MUNHEC team will greet the delegates and begin this weekend in just the right way. It will feature a talk by former UN diplomat from Syria Manar Taleb on his experience as a diplomat and the future of multilateral negotiation as a way of solving conflicts. It will be open to everyone on campus.
Saturday, March 10th

10am - First negotiation session
During this introductory session, delegates can get into the first steps of the negotiation process.

12am - Lunch break
Participants can enjoy their meal and prepare the afternoon sessions with their fellow delegates.

2pm - Second negotiation session
4pm - Afternoon break

4.30pm - Third negotiation session
6pm - End of negotiations for the day
Sunday, March 11th

10am - Fourth negotiation session
12am - Lunch break

2pm - Fifth negotiation session

4pm - Coffee break
“What goes best with a cup of coffee? Another cup.”

4.30pm - Sixth and last negotiation session
This session is the culmination of the two-day long discussion. It will be the last attempt for delegates to try and take on an international challenge.

6pm - Closing ceremony
Awards awards awards!

7pm - Cocktail dinner
Participants can meet after the ceremony and conclude their diplomatic experience by sharing a cocktail dinner with all the persons that were involved, at one point or another, in the MUN.
