Guest Speakers
To give you food for thought about the topics of the week, two guest speakers with experience in diplomacy and international affairs will share their knowledge and debate on Monday and Friday evening.

Laurent Maruani : Emerging with growth?
Laurent Maruani is a former adviser to the French government and the European Union, as well as a HEC and UCLA professor. Drawing on his experience in both politics and business, he will give a talk on the strategic and economic perspectives of emerging markets.

Friday, March 9th, 7.30pm, Amphi Blondeau
Manar Taleb : A Diplomat's Experience
Manar Taleb is a former diplomat at the UN. He will tell of his experience as a diplomat, provide us with a behind-the-scenes account of UN General Assembly meetings, and reflect on the increasing challenges of multilateralism as a means of solving conflicts. His talk will be followed by the opening ceremony of the Model United Nations conference.
